Saiki Kusuo no Ψ-nan #ANIME

Let me tell you guys first, I will make a review for every ‘Seasonal Best Anime’ best means only the number 1, even though it’s a little late (really busy while I’m studying in Malaysia), but here it is a review from me, hope it will help.

Oh right, the reason why I don’t make a ‘BEST FALL ANIME 2016 LIST’ because I only watched 2 anime that season (actually more, but dropped it at some point), Haikyuu and Gundam IBO, I find the other anime is kinda boring and also I have to focus studying in Malaysia, so that’s it. But, if you want to ask me the best anime in fall, it’s absolutely Haikyuu by far.

Review from me :

Actually, I don’t watch Saiki when it’s start airing, because the art is really sucks, and it’s score in MyAnimeList is kinda low, I don’t want waste my time to watch it, so I skip this. When my brother come back to home (actually, he’s living in different city), he ask me ‘Do you watch Saiki?’ I say ‘No’ and then he say ‘Retard, it’s the most hilarious anime this season’ and this simple conversation that make me start to watch Saiki.

And there it is, it’s really so f*cking hilarious, especially Saiki’s friend who make this series is really interesting. The mangaka really know how to build a character. Actually I’m pretty picky when it comes to comedy, because I’m not a fan of comedy-anime or I should say gag-anime, I often find it really boring, not like everyone else who laugh when watching every gag-anime. For example ‘Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou’ all of my friends said this series is really fun to watch but when I watch it, I never laugh, also I know what’s will coming in the next 1-2 minutes, it’s so boring for me.

Okay, let’s end the discussions my taste about gag-anime.

+

  • Character, all of the character is likeable and have a ‘unique’ personality, especially Kaidou. I also really like Saiki’s personality as a main character (cool, kind, and comedic), and realistic personality like Teruhashi’s personality (real-life popular girl personality).
  • Story, in every episode, you will gain knowledge about ‘odd elements’ in this anime, for example, how can Saiki communicate with others without speaking, what the actual f*ck with Saiki’s anthenna, and the explanation is really interesting, so believe me, you will be entertained.
  • Comedy, every new character in every newest episode will bring you new comedy-element and won’t get you boring with this anime. The mangaka sure has a really good comedy-sense, because he can always make new comedy-element and the quality of comedy never drops.

  • Animation, pretty much mediocre.

Score :

  • Story : 8/10
  • Art : 7/10
  • Character : 10/10
  • Enjoyment : 10/10
  • Overall : 8.75/10

Synopsis :

To the average person, psychic abilities might seem a blessing; for Kusuo Saiki, however, this couldn’t be further from the truth. Gifted with a wide assortment of supernatural abilities ranging from telepathy to x-ray vision, he finds this so-called blessing to be nothing but a curse. As all the inconveniences his powers cause constantly pile up, all Kusuo aims for is an ordinary, hassle-free life—a life where ignorance is bliss.

Unfortunately, the life of a psychic is far from quiet. Though Kusuo tries to stay out of the spotlight by keeping his powers a secret from his classmates, he ends up inadvertently attracting the attention of many odd characters, such as the empty-headed Riki Nendou and the delusional Shun Kaidou. Forced to deal with the craziness of the people around him, Kusuo comes to learn that the ordinary life he has been striving for is a lot more difficult to achieve than expected.
